About Our Practice
Founded in 1999, Northwood Foot and Ankle Center has been serving Holland and the greater West Michigan community with the highest quality full service podiatric care for almost 20 years. Our multi-disciplinary team of podiatric and massage therapy experts are proud to deliver specialized, individualized, and state-of-the-art care for a comprehensive range of foot and ankle concerns.
Our Medical Team
Patricia Guisinger, DPM
Dr. Guisinger is the founding doctor of Northwood Foot and Ankle Center. Originally from the east side of the state, Dr. Guisinger joined a practice in Alpena in 1994. She then moved to Holland to raise her family and start her current practice.
Dr. Guisinger attended Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and then the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, where she received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. She is a member of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association, and American Diabetes Association, and is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She specializes in primary podiatric medicine, including diabetic wound care, limb salvage, gout, arthritis and has special protocols for heel pain that are non-surgical. She enjoys skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and biking.
Scott Vande Vorde, DPM
Dr. Vande Vorde has been practicing in West Michigan since 1990. He is a graduate of Hope College and the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed his surgical residency at Thorek Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. He is board certified in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Vande Vorde is a Diplomat of the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery, a member of American Podiatric Medical Association and the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Vande Vorde specializes in sports medicine, surgery and geriatric care. He lives in Holland with his family and enjoys running and other fitness activities.
Rebecca A. Sundling, DPM, MPH, AACFAS
Dr. Rebecca Sundling grew up in Plainwell, Michigan. After undergoing foot surgery in middle school, she decided to pursue podiatry as a career due to its combination of medical and surgical treatments and variety of issues she could treat. She attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, then graduated from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2013. After completing her residency in Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Sundling spent a year earning her Master’s degree in Public Health at Dartmouth College before returning to West Michigan to practice.
Having grown up playing sports, Dr. Sundling has an interest in sports medicine as well as many other aspects of podiatry, including diabetic foot care and surgery. Dr. Sundling is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Public Health Association, Michigan Podiatric Medical Association,and the American Podiatric Medical Association. In her free time, she enjoys competing in triathlons, skiing, traveling and crafting.
Bill Rocker, MA, LMT
Exercise Physiologist/Massage Therapist
Bill is a graduate of Hope College and Western Michigan University. He has been practicing medical massage therapy for more than ten years. His educational background in anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics allows him to assess musculoskeletal problems. His education in medical massage at the Blue Heron Academy allows him to address each individual’s particular problems. Bill works with athletes, desk jockeys, factory workers, youth and the wise.

Our goal is always to provide a warm, friendly, and professional environment. We want you to feel at ease with our physicians and staff—not only because we’re the best at what we do, but because we treat everybody the way we want to be treated. That includes taking whatever time is needed to fully explain any test results, diagnoses, and treatment options.
In order to save some time at the front desk and ensure your first visit is as unhurried and stress-free as possible, we strongly recommend you print out and complete the following new patient paperwork to the best of your ability before your appointment. Please also bring a complete list of medications and supplements you are currently taking:
Our Location and Hours
We are conveniently located northeast of downtown Holland, just off 120th between Lakewood Blvd and James Street. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
We do our best to work with your schedule and do anything we can to accommodate your needs, including scheduling as soon as possible for patients with diabetes or other serious, threatening concerns.
